Synopsis: One of the most eagerly awaited theatrical releases of 2012, Leon Schuster’s Mad Buddies stars the SA-funny man as one half of a duo of sworn enemies who are forced to spend more time together than they would like, but who ultimately find a reason to band together because of it.

Boetie (Leon Schuster) and Beast (Kenneth Nkosi) are two chaps with bad blood between them. However, when efforts at one-upmanship lead to their arrest they are given a simple choice by ambitious TV exec Kelsey (Tanit Phoenix): Rot in jail or set off cross-country on a 500km walking road trip to Johannesburg.

The pair hits the road begrudgingly, each determined not to help the other in any way, shape or form. However, when it becomes apparent that they’ve been conned by Kelsey who had a hidden agenda for bringing them together, they decide to put aside their mutual hatred of each other in order to get their revenge.
