Synopsis:
Marking the directorial debut of actress Angelina Jolie, this romance drama is set against the backdrop of the 1990’s war in the former Yugoslavia.
Danijel (Goran Kostic), a young Bosnian Serb soldier, discovers his former love interest Ajla (Zana Marjanovic), an ethnic Bosniak, is one of the internees in a prison camp his father oversees.
Danijel and Ajla were very close to being in love in the days before the outbreak of war, however as Danijel tries to rekindle the feelings between them he finds that the conflict had caused the feelings between them to change.
